Welcome to my site. I hope you enjoy my images of wildlife and landscapes of Coastal Georgia and the Low Country in addition to other images from my decades of taking photographs. I have come to really enjoy seeking out wildlife in the tidal marshes, beaches, and barrier islands of Coastal Georgia and beyond. The Low Country is such a beautiful area that great landscape opportunities abound in all directions. I feel very fortunate to have access to all it offers on a daily basis. I have been profoundly moved by the beauty, serenity and ecological importance of Georgia's barrier islands, in particular, Ossabaw Island and Sapelo Island. The Ossabaw Island Foundation will benefit from a portion of the sale of all images taken on the island.
I have a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Auburn University where I became serious about photography. Those were the pre-digital days of film. Prints were made in the darkroom. Dodging and burning were the only "editing" tools at my disposal. Experimenting with multiple and composite exposures were avant garde in those days. After many years as a designer and product photographer in the advertising biz in Nashville, I moved to Savannah to pursue my passion for photography and make it my way of life.
I have a gallery in Savannah, Georgia at 308 W. St. Julian Street in the Art Center at City Market, second level, Gallery 105. I have my images displayed as fine art prints, metal prints, and canvas wraps. I'm also doing linocut block prints, fine art paintings and drawings to add to the mix. Please come visit if you're ever in Savannah.
I am excited to be offering images from my vintage film archives. I have some great shots of performances by some pretty famous folks that I will be offering in the future. I will also be offering Limited Edition prints on a regular basis, so, check back often to see what's new.
