I hope you enjoy my images of wildlife and landscapes of Coastal Georgia and the Low Country in addition to other images from my decades of taking photographs. I have come to really enjoy seeking out wildlife in the tidal marshes, beaches, and barrier islands of Coastal Georgia and beyond. The coastal region is such a beautiful area that great landscape opportunities abound in all directions. I feel very fortunate to have access to all it offers on a daily basis. I have been profoundly moved by the beauty, serenity and ecological importance of Georgia's barrier islands, in particular, Ossabaw Island and Sapelo Island.
I have a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Auburn University where I became serious about photography. Those were the pre-digital days of film. Prints were made in the darkroom. Dodging and burning were the only "editing" tools at my disposal. Experimenting with multiple and composite exposures were avant garde in those days. After many years as a designer and product photographer in the advertising biz in Nashville, I moved to Savannah to pursue my passion for photography and make it my way of life. Beaches, islands, swamps and marshlands are now my "office".
I am excited to be offering images from my vintage film archives. I will soon be offering fine art prints of my traditional art compositions including block prints, watercolor paintings and digital art.
